Capital Prayer Walk

  • Washington, District of Columbia United States (map)

What is it? A Prayer Walk is praying in the Spirit while engaging the city or community through all five senses – sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste.

Where is it: Meet around the US Capital Building

Who is invited? The Christian Reformed Churches of the D.C. area

What is the focus? To pray onsite with insight “in the Spirit”, allowing God to guide and direct our prayers (without drawing attention to ourselves).

What is the purpose? This event evolved out of an initiative of our CRC Classis (Nehemiah project) for connecting churches to pray for spiritual renewal in our churches; to pray against Satan’s power and impact in our culture, our institutions, our communities; and, to pray for discernment in how God is leading us to opportunities to minister.
